Paper Garden - Jardín de Papel -, 2004
in former living room in a house, Gallery Nebulosa, Xarapa, Mexico
Thin white paper walls limit people's field of vision. Three different scenes are cut off from each other but all have a view outside through the same single window. The viewer walks through the work and sees them one by one. At the end they can get out from the window to a balcony and view all the scenes from outside, as a whole. The difference between knowing the whole place or just the separate scenes within the work asks people to reconsider the relationship with the space. |
